
According to data released from the State Statistics Committee of Russia, Russian ferrous metal exports reached 35.35 million tonnes in 2011, decreasing by 9% YoY.
Among them, 4.25 million tonnes were pig iron, up by 9.1YoY.
In addition, the country's total export revenue of ferrous metal amounted to USD 22 billion in 2011.
In the meantime, Russia's ferrous metal imports totaled 5.8 million tonnes in 2011, rising by 16.2% YoY and the total import revenue of ferrous metal reached USD 6.3 billion.
