
Energy Ministry data showed that Russian natural gas production rose in January 2012 to 2.04 billion cubic meters per day from 2.03 billion cubic meters per day in December 2011.
Gas production by Russian gas export monopoly Gazprom rose to 1.56 billion cubic meters per day from 1.55 billion cubic meters per day in the previous month. It was down by 1.8% from January 2011 levels.
