According to report, Russian Severstal plans to start its mini mill in central Russia by June 2013. And its annual capacity is about 1 million tonnes of long products supplying to construction sectors in Russia’s southern and Volga regions.

The new plant will produce about 700,000 tonnes a year for bars and rods and about 300,000 tonnes a year for sections.

Severstal’s capacity of carbon steel will increase by half to 3 million tonnes per year and it remains to rank as country's fourth largest steelmaker after NLMK, MMK and Evraz.
