According to the data issued by Russian Railways, in January to September 2009 the steel products shipments on Russia railways decreased by 27.4%YoY to 47 million tonnes, the shipments of iron and manganese ore went down by 16% YoY to 70.3 million tonnes while the shipments of ferrous scrap dropped by 47.4% YoY to 11.5 million tonnes.

During the first nine months of 2009, Russia total railway shipments decreased by 19.5%YoY to 816.7 million tonnes.
