Interfax quoted AUTO Consulting has report that new car sales in Ukraine in May 2010 fell by 12.5%MoM when 13,216 cars were sold and by 9% on May 2009.
The company experts said "Thus, after the increase in April, the market again fell significantly even compared to the crisis in 2009."
Due to the experts' estimations, the market is following the pattern of 2003, when Ukraine sold 154,000 vehicles, but in late 2003 record high growth was seen in car sales which is unlikely to occur in 2010.
AUTO-Consulting explains such indicators in May 2010 with long holidays and days off. As a result, dealers did not sell at least several thousand cars which influenced the final indicators.
AvtoVAZ holds the leading position on the market, as it managed to boost its share to 15%, ZAZ ranks second as its sales did not fall thanks to numerous programs.
