It is reported that in January to August, 2009, Vostochny Port OJSC handled 9.839.4 million tonnes of cargo down by 6%YoY.

In August 2009, the company handled 1.471.3 million tonnes of cargo up by 13%YoY. In the 8-month period, Specialized Coal Complex handled 8.323 tonnes of coal down by 8%YoY including 1.242 million tonnes of coal handled in August up by 12%YoY.

Universal Handling Terminal handled 1.516 million tonnes of different cargo up by 9% including 229,300 tonnes of cargo handled in August up by 20%YoY.

Vostochny Port Joint Stock Company is the largest stevedore company in the Far East of Russia. Its main specialization is coal handling using conveyer equipment. Vostochny Port OJSC comprises Specialized Coal Complex and Universal Handling Terminal specializing in transshipment of general and bulk cargo. It also handles metal, cellulose, chemicals, long-size and heavy cargo.
