
Interfax-Ukraine reported that Hyundai Corporation has presented a high-speed train for Ukraine
The report says that Vice Premier an Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Mr Borys Kolesnikov took part in a ceremony of the presentation of the first train in Changwon (South Korea).
Mr Kolesnikov said "The train is only the beginning of our future cooperation. He said that first two trains will arrive to Ukraine in late January 2012. Another four trains will be shipped to the country by early May. The six trains will be transferred to Ukrzaliznytsia by the Euro 2012 European football championship and they will be used to connect four cities hosting the tournament.
The vice premier said that first high-speed trains will run on regular routes from May 2012.
Mr Kolesnikov said "From May holidays Ukrainians will be able to use the trains. He told the press that the price of second class tickets for the new trains will be up to UAH 220, and those tickets bought in advance will cost UAH 160-180.”
