Competition for the best official site and portal authorities of the Ural Federal District Public Recognition was sponsored by the Pipe Metallurgical Company. The event was organized at the initiative of the Civic Forum under the auspices of the Plenipotentiary Representative of President of the Russian Federation in the Urals Federal District NA Vinnichenko.

The purposes of the contest have become a public examination of the processes of transition to e-government in the Urals Federal District and identify the most informative and user-friendly for the citizens of sites authorities.

The competition was attended by government departments, working with information resources and directly responsible for the creation, filling, maintenance and promotion of sites. From the subjects of the federation, members of the Urals Federal District, has received 68 bids. Winners are determined in three categories the official site of the territorial, regional and municipal authorities.

Mr Mikhail Cherepanov Director of the Directorate of regional projects said TMK as a global company, is interested in improving the openness of society and its institutions. He said that "Support for the contest information resources creates conditions for the development of effective models of interaction between citizens, businesses and government can work out a realistic operating tool of public management and control."
