Interfax reported that OJSC Tatneft spent RUB 5.7 billion in capital expenditures in the first half of this year including RUB 3.7 billion on exploratory and production drilling.

Tatneft extracted 12.816 million tonnes of oil in the first half up by 0.2%YoY. The company used cutting edge methods to increase the productivity of oil containing strata, providing 44.9% of overall output. Tatneft extracted 375.5 million square meters of associated oil gas and processed 145,000 tonnes of light hydrocarbon broad fractions.

The company put 171 new production wells into exploitation.

The Ashalchinsk deposit yielded 11,100 tonnes of super viscous oil at an average of 61.1 plus tonnes per day. More than 49,000 tonnes of oil have been produced since the section went into production.

Tatneft drilled six wells and extracted 123,000 tonnes of oil outside its licensed sections in Tatarstan.
