It is reported that Tatneft Group never signed any agreements, contracts and never undertook any other obligations concerning oil and gas projects in Iran.

OJSC Tatneft ranks sixth largest oil company of the Russian Federation in terms of the extraction volume. The proved oil and condensate reserves of Tatneft as of December 31 2008 were 790 million tons.
