UMC was the first and so far the only Russian company which confirmed the willingness to supply large diameter pipes for pipeline South Stream. UMC recently received a certificate for compliance with DNV for this new international project.

The certificate of conformity is given on the test results produced by a test batch. Range of pipe 813h39.0mm SAWL 450SD 813h37.4mm SAWL 485 SD according to specifications DNV-OS-F101.

UMC was the first pipe producer in Russia, received in 2007 DNV certificate of compliance for the production of pipes for underwater pipelines.

UMC has put 480 km of pipes 1153h34-41mm for the unique in the world of underwater pipeline Nord Stream.
