
It is reported that gas production in Ukraine January through October 2009 grew by 1.3%YoY or 223.3 million cubic meters to 17.687 billion cubic meters; the production of natural gas alone increased by 1.7% or 288 million cubic meters to 16.892 billion cubic meters.
The Fuel and Energy Ministry said NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy enterprises boosted gas production by 1.1% or 182.2 million cubic meters, in the ten months to 16.159 billion cubic meters. Natural gas production in particular grew by 1.8% or 279.3 million cubic meters to 15.543 billion cubic meters.
Ukrgazvydobuvannia alone boosted gas production by 2.6% to 12.677 billion cubic meters including natural gas production by 2.5% to 12.627 billion cubic meters while OJSC Ukrnafta cut gas production by 4% to 2.505 billion cubic meters, but increased natural gas production by 0.4% 1.940 billion cubic meters. State-owned JSC Chornomornaftogaz trimmed natural gas output by 3.2%, to 976.2 million cubic meters.
Other Ukrainian gas producing companies January through October 2009 increased gas production by 2.8%, or 41.1 million cubic meters, to 1.528 billion cubic meters, including that of natural gas by 0.6%, or 8.7 million cubic meters to 1.350 billion cubic meters.
As reported in 2008 Ukraine boosted gas production by 1.2%, or 244.5 million cubic meters, from 2007 to 21.014 billion cubic meters. Natural gas output alone rose by 1.7%, or 329.3 million cubic meters to 19.985 billion cubic meters.
