According to the data released by metal trading enterprise Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company, in 2011 Ukraine exports of steel products increased by 1.7%YoY to 24.138 million tonnes.

In December alone, Ukraine steel product exports increased by 12.5%MoM rising to 2.258 million tonnes. In 2011, Ukraine registered a 9.8% increase YoY in its steel product imports to 1.843 million tonnes. In December alone, Ukraine steel product imports decreased by 7.8%MoM dropping to 153,000 tonnes.
