In 2011, Ukraine registered a 14% YoY increase in its long steel product imports to 430,900 tonnes. In December 2011 alone, Ukraine's long steel product imports decreased by 16.7% MoM to 33,900 tonnes.

Also in 2011, Ukrainian exports of long steel products decreased by 0.1% YoY to 2010, declining to 5.768 million tonnes. In December 2011 alone, Ukraine's long steel product exports decreased by 2.5% MoM to 489,000 tonnes.
