According to the data released by metal trading enterprise Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company, in 2011 Ukrainian exports of pig iron increased by 19.8%YoY to 1.774 million tonnes.

In December alone, exports of pig iron from Ukraine increased by 38.6% compared to November rising to 246,900 tonnes.

In 2011, Ukraine's imports of pig iron decreased by 32.2%YoY to 43,700 tonnes.
