According to the data released by Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom, in the January to March period of the current year Ukraine's exports of steel products decreased by 10%YoY to 6.1 million tonnes.

In the given period, Ukraine rolled steel product exports decreased by 11.4%YoY to 5.4 million tonnes including 2.3 million tonnes of semis, 1.6 million tonnes of flat steel and 1.5 million tonnes of long steel. In January to March of the current year, Ukrainian exports of pig iron increased by 4.5%YoY to 350,000 tonnes.

Exports of steel pipes from Ukraine increased by 15% in the given period compared to January to March 2011, rising to 520,000 tonnes.
