It is reported that National energy company Ukrenergo has sold 100 MW of electricity to export to Moldova from July 1 to July 31 2011 at an auction for access to the Ukrainian power grid.

Ukrenergo said that two 50 MW lots were sold to Power Trade Ltd for UAH 1,000 per lot. Six 1,350 MW lots of electricity to export to Russia and three 350 MW lots of electricity to export to Belarus and four 350 MW lots of electricity to export to Moldova were removed from the auction due to the absence of demand on them.

Lots to export electricity to Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania were not put up for sale as they were bought by DTEK companies at an auction on December 2010.

The key exporter of Ukrainian election from 2011 is the largest private vertically integrated holding DTEK which plans to increase electricity exports by 3.3 times this year by 2.8 billion kWh compared to 2010 to 4 billion kWh.
