Interfax quoted the Kyrgyzstan Energy Ministry's spokesperson said Uzbekistan will fully resume gas supplies to Kyrgyzstan from February 13th.
The spokesperson said "Today the Kyrgyz Government transferred USD 4.8 million to Uztransgaz. Kyrgyzgaz repaid 90% of its debt to the Uzbek supplier of natural fuel. Currently, the company still owes no more than USD 400,000. Following the talks between the Kyrgyzgaz and Uztransgaz managers on Friday the gas supplies to the country south will resume from February 13 this year."
Uzbekistan has limited its gas supplies to Kyrgyzstan since early February, leading to the country's southern regions being cut off from fuel supplies. On February 11th Uztransgas sent a telegram to Kyrgyzstan about further cuts in gas supplies.
