VSMPO-AVISMA embarks on cooperation with the American producer of titanium rods

It is reported that in 2012, the US market will receive new products for aircraft building which will be made of Russian titanium.
The VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, PSC has entered into a long term agreement with Universal Stainless & Alloy Products for processing of products. The Russian manufacturer of titanium will be responsible for supply of billets that will be used for producing rods for NF&M International Inc.
The VSMPO-AVISMA Press-Service has informed RusBusinessNews that NF&M intends to produce small-diameter rods, wire and straight rods with high-precision tolerance. The minimum diameter of the rod is expected to decrease from 0.75 to 0.25 inches and the wire diameter to 0.125 inches.
