VSMPO-AVISMA will furnish its customers with 30,000 tonnes of titanium products in 2012. This is an increase of 3,000 tonnes over what they produced in 2011 and 6,000 tonnes over 2010.
The corporation's press office told RusBusinessNews that the company's production has not yet caught up with demand.
Mr Maksim Santalov the advisor to the general director said "If we don't accept orders, then someone else will fill them. And considering how international competition is increasing, especially from China, this is a very disturbing situation."
In order to maintain its position on the global market, the management of VSMPO-AVISMA is planning to expand its production and cut its production time by improving quality and lowering costs.
