Interfax quoted the Federal State Statistics Service said Russia enjoyed a third straight week of zero inflation from September 27 to October 3.

Since the start of the year, consumer prices were up 4.7%. One year ago, inflation from the start of October was 0.1% and from the beginning of the year 6.4%.

Inflationary swings where prices fall 0.1%, then stabilize, then fall 0.1% again and so on ended with the next to last week of September having continued over eight straight weeks since the beginning of August.
