It is reported that Argentina has declared to levy antidumping duties on Chinese stainless steel tableware and pipeline accessories, and launch antidumping investigation on heating appliance imported from China at the same time.

According to reports from Argentina Ministry of Industry & Tourism, Argentina decided to initiate antidumping duties on Brazil and China made SS tableware and set floor prices on SS tableware products imported from these two countries, with levying 1450.21% duties on the products imported from China in South American Common Market starting from October 26th 2009, with a valid period of 5 years.

The ministry also announced to impose antidumping duties on China imported welded pipeline accessories, regulating the FOB prices post at USD 3.94 per kilogram at lowest in Mercosur staring from October 24th 2009, with a term of five years also.

Besides, China imported electrical heaters suffered antidumping investigations by Argentina industry, trade and medium and small enterprise secretariat. And Govt Official of Argentina publicly disclosed that China is suspected of offering an export price which is lower than the local one.

Argentina has launched a series of trade restriction measures on China made products since last year, which exerted unfavorable influences on their two side trade. The surveyed reports uncovered that the total volume of bilateral trade came at USD 6.893 billion, down by 37.7% YoY.
