Nickel production for the 9 months to March 2009 was in line with the corresponding period. Production in the March 2009 quarter was 10% QoQ higher than the March 2008 quarter, which was impacted by an industrial stoppage at Cerro Matoso.
Production in the March 2009 quarter was lower than the December 2008 quarter mainly due to heavy rainfall impacting production at Yabulu, the cessation of processing Mixed Hydroxide Product from Ravensthorpe and weather related constraints to the shipping of concentrate by Nickel West.
