It is reported that China biggest steelmaker has invited nearly 30 suppliers of FeCr and stainless steel scrap to establish stable cooperation relationship and optimizing purchasing mode, vowing to practice public purchasing of raw materials for stainless steel and strengthen the usage of greed materials.

Baosteel stainless steel division has maintained sincere cooperation with suppliers since the financial crisis and has gained high praises. It has increased purchasing of domestic stainless steel scrap to over 100,000 tonnes.

Mr Lou Dingbo deputy general manager of Baosteel and general manager of stainless steel division said that the steelmaker hopes to get more environmental friendly materials from the suppliers and will carry out public and transparent replenishment.
