It is reported that Canadian Cliffs Resources has planned to sell its chrome ore in Ring of Fire discoveries in northwestern Ontario to Asian smelters though the government ruled that the ore assets mined in Ontario should be processed locally.

The VP of Cliffs Resources said that the company may looks for exemption if it's necessary.

It's known that Cliffs Resources currently mined the chrome ore in Ring of Fire discoveries in northwestern Ontario and processed the ore to become chrome ore fine in its smelter in Ontario.
