AP reported that Mr Woody Peebles that makes him reluctant to tear down an 80 year old house on a lot in southern Limestone County. The dwelling stands in a clump of trees west of US 31 and north of Thomas L Hammons Road, facing Pryor Field.

As per report, a Pennsylvania based steel company called Carpenter Technology Corporation, plans to build a 400,000 square foot steel plant there that will create 241 jobs.

Mr Peebles said that "The walls are three bricks thick and the mortar is solid, noting it was not the kind that crumbles to dust. It also has a full brick basement, an oddity in the South where winters rarely freeze pipes."

Mr Peebles and his brother, Brent, recently agreed to sell the land where the house stands for USD 20,000 per acre.

He would like to sell the home for USD 30,000 to someone who is willing to move it elsewhere, hopefully someone nearby. Mr Peebles said moving the home one to five miles away would cost about USD 50,000, noting he had already consulted Hollis Kennedy House Movers of Athens.
