ChEMK increases production ferrous alloys 1pct in 2011

Interfax reported that Chelyabinsk Electrometallurgical Plant Russia biggest ferroalloy producer produced 721,000 tonnes of ferroalloys in 2011.

A company spokesperson said that output came to 710,000 tonnes in 2010. Therefore, ChEMK was able to increase ferroalloy output by 1.55% in 2011.

Mr Pavel Khodorovsky company head previously said that the 2011 production target was around 800,000 tonnes of ferroalloys.

LLC Perant and its affiliate LLC Prompererabotka own 99.5% of ChEMK.

The ChEMK industrial group includes Chelyabinsk Electrometallurgical Plant and OJSC Kuznetskiye Ferroalloys.
