
It is reported that in 2008, China has churned out 180,589 tonnes of molybdenum concentrates with Mo content of 81,265 tonnes, up by 22.48% YoY, with 6338 tonnes Mo of Mo concentrates made last December, which was 795 tonnes Mo lower than 7133 tonnes Mo in last November, down by 11.1% MoM, but up by 1% YoY.
According to data, production in Henan Province and Hebei Province plunged 24.4% and 60.7% to 2615 tonnes Mo and 226 tonnes Mo in December 2008 when Inner Mongolia's 392 tonnes Mo almost leveled with that in November 2008, but Shaanxi Province has lifted 49.1% of production to 1874 tonnes Mo. The total sum of output from above four provinces accounted for 80.6% of the total.
The annual production in Henan Province and Shaanxi Province increased by 19.39% YoY and 12.27% YoY to 38581 tonnes Mo and 16736 tonnes Mo, which contributed 68.1% of the total Mo concentrates.
