According to data released by the China's customs, China's exports of stainless steel flat products and cold rolled steel products totaled 135,035 tonnes in June, falling by 5.4% MoM.

In June 2012, the country's exports of stainless steel flat products decreased by 14.7% YoY. In the first half of 2012, the exports of stainless steel flat products totaled 739,229 tonnes, falling by 15.9% YoY in comparison of that in the same period of a year earlier.

Meanwhile, China imported 45,830 tonnes of stainless steel flat products, declining by 9.5% YoY and falling by 18.1% MoM.

In the first six months of 2012, China's imports of stainless steel flat products amounted to 284,293 tonnes, sliding by 25.3% YoY.
