Reuters reported that Austria's DCM Decometal Gmbh has started revamping a ferrochrome smelter in northern Albania that will increase its monthly output of high carbon ferrochrome to 4,500 tonnes.

Ms Agimarta Lula spokeswoman of DCM Decometal said that "DCM Decometal has launched its investment to upgrade the ferrochrome smelting plant in Burrel. We expect to start producing in around 45 days."
