Cogne Special Steel revises downward the productive activity. Blame the decline in orders following the new wave of economic and financial difficulties this summer.

About 250 workers will be laid off due to the contraction of the ordinary orders wire rod (stainless steel coils for the automotive industry).

The head of the company have during a meeting with trade unions announced this move.

The move is due to decline of orders.

The layoffs will concern 'four divisions (steel, train rolling, pickling and Pac) and includes a stop (on Monday') rotates every 15 days.
