Downsizing deals - Special Metals workers get 5 days off without pay
Associated Press cited Ms Judy Schmidt a spokeswoman at the Special Metals Corp plant in Huntington as saying that the company is halting production for five days and giving employees time off without pay starting May 22.
The Spokeswoman said the cost cutting move involves more than 1,000 employees at plants in Huntington, Burnaugh and Elkhart.
Ms Schmidt said that the employees can use vacation time to recoup their lost wages.
