ERAMET CEO Mr Buffet updates company's corporate activities

Mr Patric Buffet chairman & CEO of ERAMET gave an interview to media at Hotel Okura on July 5th 2012 and made the following comments on the company's corporate activities.

1. ERAMET Manganese:
New Guilin Plan (China)
Start up scheduled in 2012. Production capacity of 165,000 tonnes per annum of manganese group ferroalloys including 60,000 tonnes per annum of medium low carbon ferromanganese, giving ERAMET world leadership in the refined alloys

Moanda Metallurgical Complex (Gabon)
Start up scheduled late 2013 or early 2014. Production capacity of 65,000 tonnes per annum of silicomanganese and 20,000 tonnes per annum of manganese metal aiming at local value creation.

2. ERAMET Nickel:
Doniambo Nickel Plant (New Caledonia)
Under the plan to increase its capacity to 65,000 tonnes per annum, capital expenditure will continue including for environmental protection and for possible investment to a local power plant

Weda Bay Nickel Project (Indonesia)
Production capacity of the phase one targeted at 35,000 tonnes per annum. Investment decision for the phase one is to be made in the first half of 2013.

3. ERAMET Alloys:
Satisfactory start up of strategic projects on budget and schedule, responding to market growth in aerospace and alloyed power metallurgy.

Mr Buffet confirmed that the company's intention to continue investments on the basis that demand from emerging economies would durably rebound in the near future, adding that stainless steel production in Europe would recover some time during the Q4 of 2012.
