It is reported that the major stainless steel mills in Europe have decided to cut the alloy surcharge for 304 series cold rolled stainless steel sheet to EUR 1,399 per tonne averagely for December 2011 shipments, decreased by EUR 44 per tonne from EUR 1,384 per tonne in a month earlier.

Among them, ThyssenKrupp declined the alloy surcharge by EUR 50 per tonne to EUR 1,347 per tonne; Finnish Outokumpu decreased the surcharge by EUR 46 per tonne to EUR 1,334 per tonne and Acerinox reduced the surcharge by EUR 42 per tonne to EUR 1,333 per tonne.

It is known that the nickel prices in three months delivery at LME remained weak last month. The nickel prices on November 25th 2011 were at USD 17,215 per tonne, lower than USD 19,090 per tonne in a month earlier.
