On December 29th 2011, Ministry of Commerce announced that EU decided to impose final anti dumping duty of 48.3% to 71.9% on China produced stainless steel seamless tube pipe, exacerbating domestic steel mills' current situation.

Stainless steel seamless tube pipe is relatively high added value product and the products involved in this antidumping case are medium high end products.

According to incomplete statistics, China stainless steel seamless tube pipe export to Europe in the year of 2010 achieved 20,000 tonnes, accounting for 13% of total exports.
