French nickel producer Eramet said that its nickel stocks have been reduced considerably recently due to production cut in the first half year of 2009.

It may be noted that global nickel stock surplus reached 110,000 tonnes by the end of June 2009, and accordingly the company only operated 80% of its capacity, which is about 50,000 tonnes during the first half year.
