Mr Colin Barnett Premier of West Australian said that the Esperance Port has the capacity to handle projected nickel exports from the Ravensthorpe mine.

Mr Colin Barnett has held talks with company representatives who he says are aware of the mine's past problems, but say they can make the project a success.

Mr Barnett said that the Esperance Port can handle the nickel exports. He added that "The port was expanded to accommodate for the project originally."
