European ferrochrome benchmark prices drop by 4pct for Q1

According to report, the European ferrochrome benchmark price will drop by 4% to USD 1.15 per pound for the Q1 2012 as the world biggest producer South Africa Merafe Resources cut the prices.
The price has been cut since Q2 this year from USD 1.35 per pound to USD 1.20 per pound. Other supplier like India also supplied the cheaper prices.
The demand for ferrochrome has been slow since Q3 2011 and there are stocks available in the market.
