It is reported that since most of China mills have come back from Chinese New Year vacation, end users have restarted to purchase raw material for their plants.

Currently, in spot market, the price for 75% ferrosilicon sold at CNY 6400 to CNY 6500 per tonne and No 72 ferrosilicon sold at CNY 6200 to CNY 6300 per tonne.

However, some mills said the new price for ferrosilicon is about the same level as in this January; they expected mills' purchasing activity will help ferrosilicon price to get the support and the price will stay firmly in February 2012.
