
The New Indian Express reported that JSL Stainless Limited has been awarded the prestigious Pollution Control Appreciation Award 2011 for excellence in Pollution Control Management in industrial sector. The award has been instituted by Orissa State Pollution Control Board.
It was conferred on Jindal Stainless on the occasion of the 28th Foundation Day function of the Pollution Control Board. Resident Director of JSL Mr Rajdeep Mohanty and GM cum Factory Manager Mr Shivarama MS received the award from Forest and Environment Minister Mr Debi Prasad Mishra.
Development Commissioner and OSPCB Chairman Mr RN Senapati, Secretary to Forest and Environment Department Mr Aurobindo Behera and member secretary of Pollution Control Board Mr Siddhant Das were present.
JSL received the award in recognition of its efforts in fly ash management, 100% utilization of fly ash in wasteland development by setting up a state of art and well equipped environmental laboratory under Centre for Environmental Excellence in Orissa.
