
According to statistics released by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Japan's hot rolled stainless steel output in November 2011 totaled 215,560 tonnes, decreasing by 15% MoM.
Among them, the output of chrome based stainless steel totaled 101,845 tonnes, dropping by 19.3% MoM and that of nickel based stainless steel was 108,711 tonnes, down by 11.3% MoM.
Meanwhile, the country's output of other special steels totaled 8,316 tonnes in November 2011, surging by 28% MoM.
In the end of November 2011, Japan's inventory of stainless steel totaled 127,725 tonnes, decreasing by 0.3% MoM.
