According to data, Japan's production of hot rolled stainless steel products totaled 248,087 tonnes in June 2012, rising by 2.2% MoM.

Among them, 121,507 tonnes were chrome based stainless steel products, increasing by 8.2% MoM and 99,173 tonnes were nickel based stainless steel, falling by 3% MoM.

Meanwhile, the country's production of specialty steel products totaled 7,245 tonnes in June 2012, declining by 2.5% MoM.
