
According to statistics, Japan exported 15,615 tonnes of stainless scraps in May 2012, falling by 16% MoM.
In May 2012, South Korea was the largest importer of the Japanese stainless scraps with 12,658 tonnes, up by 0.1% MoM; China was the second largest one with 1,480 tonnes, reducing by 57.4% MoM and Taiwan was the third largest one with 944 tonnes, decreasing by 54% MoM.
Meanwhile, the country's average export prices of stainless scraps in May 2012 were at JPY 125,429 per tonne, down slightly in comparison of JPY 127,041 per tonne in April 2012.
