Shanghai Securities News reported that the stainless steel market will become brisk again with gradual digestion of the stainless steel capacity launched in recent three years and completion of industrial consolidation.

Jinchuan group said that a big part of downstream demand has kept growing fast, while nickel is still one of the most important ingredients for stainless making.

Jinchuan report revealed that during this period January to April 2008, China's stainless demand continues increasing, but at a slower pace than last year. But in construction and decoration, requirement for stainless steel may come down due to the regulatory policies.

Jinchuan called upper and downstream enterprises of the stainless sector to join hands, submit present situation to the national authorities and shoot for encouraging measures for utilizing both home and overseas market and releasing the capacity.
