Jinguang stainless steel Industrial Park broke ground in Guanghan Economic Development Zone in Guanghan City in China's Sichuan Province. The new industrial park is expected to have an annual processing capacity of 400,000 tonnes of stainless steel.

Four months ago, eight new projects commenced construction in Sichuan Province based Leshan Shawan Stainless Steel Industrial Park. Together the two industrial parks will make Sichuan Province the biggest stainless steel production base in western China, making it the third largest stainless steel production base after Guangdong and Zhejiang provinces.

As learned, the area planned for Jinguang stainless steel Industrial Park is 3,700 mu, which will expand to 5,000 mu by the end of the 12th Five Year Plan. And after it is put into production, the annual sales income is expected to reach CNY 20 billion.

And the planned total investment in the 400,000 tonne stainless steel deep processing project, occupying an area of 500 mu, reached CNY 2.447 billion. After the project starts production, it can realize sales revenues of CNY 10 billion, with profit and tax totaling CNY 410 million and provide job opportunities for 500 people.
