It is reported that the average nickel prices dipped at LME in August 2011. The average spot nickel prices were at USD 22,083.86 per tonne and the average nickel prices in three months delivery were at USD 22,100 per tonne.

It is known that nickel prices slumped to USD 21,200 per tonne in the beginning of August due to the US debt credit issue. Moreover, it plummeted to USD 20,200 per tonne as China raised the interest rates.

Meanwhile, the average spot nickel prices in July were at USD 23,731.19 per tonne and the average nickel prices in three months delivery were at USD 23,770.71 per tonne.
