It is reported that the nickel prices at LME have remained weak recently.

It's known that the nickel prices have been experiencing the correction at the price level of USD 15,000 to USD 16,000 per tonne recently due to uncertain economy in euro zone.

Industry sources said that the global demand for nickel have decreased obviously due to weak stainless steel market.

For the prospect, some analysts predicted that the nickel prices may continue falling to the level of USD 12,000 per tonne.

However, the stainless steel makers said that the nickel prices might not drop further since the current price level was close to the miners' input costs.
