Bloomberg reported that Merafe Resources Limited has increased output of the stainless steel ingredient in response to strengthening demand.

Merafe Resources said that ferrochrome production will rise to 85% of capacity through the re commissioning of several furnaces at its 5 ferrochrome operations. It added that "Demand is being monitored on a continuous basis and capacity utilization will be adjusted in line with such variations in demand."
