Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation PLC has announced the appointment of Mr Jim Cochrane to the board as an executive director of the group with effect from August 13th 2010.

In addition the group is pleased to announce Mr Jim Cochrane's appointment as chief commercial officer for the group. Mr Jim will remain head of sales and marketing and will now assume responsibility for the Logistics Division.

Dr Johannes Sittard chairman of ENRC said that "I am very pleased to welcome Mr Jim to the board and congratulate him on his appointment as chief commercial officer. Mr Jim's knowledge of the industry, combined with his great service to the group and contribution to its success as a public company, means the valuable addition of operational experience to the board."

Mr Jim is currently a non executive director of JSL Stainless Limited. He is also a Director of Central African Mining & Exploration Company, acquired by ENRC in November 2009, which was listed on the United Kingdoms Alternative Investment Market until December 8th 2009.
