OJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel has announced that its management team will visit the cities of Norilsk and Krasnoyarsk from January 14th 2009 to January 16th 2009. The group of key executives will be comprised of Mr Vladimir Strazhalkovsky general director, Mr Alexander Voloshin chairman of board of directors and a number of directors from main business units of Norilsk.

As per report, Mr Strazhalkovsky will introduce the new chairman of the board of directors to the managers of the Polar Division and first deputy general director Mr Valery Matvienko, who will supervise the company’s operational performance. He also plans to meet with the representatives of Norilsk City Administration.

In Krasnoyarsk, Mr Strzhalkovsky and Mr Voloshin will hold negotiations with Mr Alexander Khloponin governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, where they intend to discuss the prospects for further cooperation of MMC Norilsk Nickel and Krasnoyarsk region.

In the course of this visit, Norilsk executives will also take part in the meeting devoted to operational results and development plans of OJSC Yenissey River Shipping Company.
